Dr. Anastasia (Stasi) Baran is the Co-founder and COO of nQube Data Science, which has been developing in-house AI solutions for casinos for over a decade. Dr. Baran played a key role in creating nQube's Reel AI Casino Optimization platform, implemented in Tribal and commercial casinos in North America, Australia, and Europe.
With a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and earlier degrees in Physics and Astrophysics, Dr. Baran pivoted from academia to the casino industry to apply her multidisciplinary expertise to industry challenges.
She is a regular speaker at conferences including Global Gaming Expo, Indian Gaming Association Tradeshow and Expo, TribalNet, and Next.io, where she focuses on the practical value of AI.
She also shares her entrepreneurial journey with university students, highlighting how academic skills can transfer to industry.
